We have just discovered the coolest pet tags EVER!
We got our paws on some NFC and QR Code Pet Tags by Ask a Vet and we are so impressed with them; we had to spread the word.
These are so much more than a boring old, engraved tag with limited information, these tags are fun, durable, waterproof and you can keep all your contact details stored for a lifetime – without a subscription!
The tags come in two sizes (Puggy is rocking the small) and 12 super fun designs, to celebrate your dog’s personality and to grab attention! Naturally our greedy, sweet boy Puggy needed the Donut shaped tags and we have already had so many compliments on his adventures.
After falling in love with Puggy’s tag, I had to kit out the whole pack, so now they all have their own cute, unique QR code tags in silly, fun shapes, including avocados, bubble tea and my personal favourite – sushi!
Before I get into the nitty gritty, I wanted to discuss the set up. I won’t lie – tech is not my forte, so I was apprehensive as a lot of brands over complicate things which puts me off as a user. However, the set up for this was so easy and it took me less than 2 minutes. Simply download the app to create a free account, scan the QR code on the back of the tag, set up your pet’s profile and you’re ready to rock and roll. It’s so simple and I love that I can store multiple dogs’ information all in one place, so now all four of my fur babies’ details are stored within my account just in case!
Of course, my whole pack are microchipped as per UK law, but I worry if the worst happened and they go missing, only a vet can access my details from them, and change details. With Ask a Vet, I can simply log in and update my contact information in real time, and if my pooches go wondering off, someone can access my phone number, address and email immediately so we can be reunited asap without having to wait for a vet with a scanner! It really is peace of mind in my pocket, and we wouldn’t be without them!
The tags are light weight and waterproof, so I know they are built to last and won’t bother my dogs like some metal tags do. Even if they go splashing around in puddles, or swimming in the sea, these tags are ready for anything. They don’t require any batteries, and I can even report my pet as lost via the app, so if someone scans my pets tag, I can be instantly alerted to their location and go and grab them for a squeeze as fast as my legs can carry me!
For how much I get from these tags as a pet owner, I’m stunned that they are only £13 each (yes they ship worldwide!) and the best part is there is NO subscription needed, so you can rest assured that once you have set up your super cute tags, your pet is on the system for life.
If you’re looking for some extra security in keeping your pooch safe, or if you always battle with the dog mum anxiety of losing them, then I cannot recommend Ask a Vet tags enough!
