Starting with my absolute favourite, the walking boots! As a dog mum of four, I’m out on wet and muddy adventures most days, and I always struggle to find something that ticks all the boxes, so when I saw the Adventurer walking boots, I snapped them up in two colours! The black and lilac and a printed version with Leopard print, which is right up my street!
I’ve never found a pair of walking boots that are fit for purpose that actually look good, but these boots are comfy, lightweight, waterproof, and breathable, whilst still looking great! I’ve never felt cooler on a dog walk and the comfort level is through the roof!
The deep lugs make them super grippy and stable, so whether I’m chasing dogs through streams, mud or dusty roads, I know my feet aren’t going to suffer.
The next thing I wanted to mention is the classic khaki sling bag. This is such a necessity for dog walking, its ultra lightweight, water resistant, can be worn over the shoulder of across the body - the perfect size for a water bottle, a flask, poop bags, treats and keys. Theres a mesh bottle holder and multiple zipped compartments with a strap that’s entirely adjustable depending on how you like it to fit. It’s such a great size and like all Mountain Warehouse products, you know it’s ready to withstand all conditions! You best believe I went straight back and bought the black version too, and I grab it for all my adventures with my fur babies.
With most of my dog walks, I always like to find a spot to stop and soak in my surroundings, giving my pooches some quality time, especially as the seasons change. I’m completely obsessed with the Mountain Warehouse foldable picnic blanket. Its thick and waterproof so we can stop anywhere for a little comfort break, and it folds back up easily too! With four dogs, we struggle to keep blankets clean with lots of muddy paws and Puggy’s wheelchair, but this one simply wipes clean, or it can be machine washed ready for its next outing.
We always bring a bottle of water to share with the pooches and a flask of coffee. The Mountain warehouse metallic water bottle is ideal for dog walkers as it is completely leakproof, it keeps the water crisp and cold with a handy Karabiner top, to attach to a bag or belt. Literally the perfect water bottle to prevent using unnecessary plastics– and it looks pretty cool too!
I’ve also been testing out the Mountain Warehouse Flask for my hot drinks on the go. I’ve saved so much not having to stop off at coffee shops and it’s the perfect size to slip in my sling bag, without any leaks for a caffeine fix whenever I want it! Sipping my coffee amongst the bluebells with my boy, was a core memory unlocked, and I can’t wait to do it again with the whole pack in tow!
Lastly, we tried out a VERY good dog lead and ball thrower – both incredible bargains approved by my tom boy, Miss Sugar! The lead is bright yellow woven with reflective silver for visibility if we are exploring in the dark on roads, and its comfy on my hands, even with Sugar pulling me like a sled dog! The ball thrower has become Sugars latest obsession, and I bring it on every walk with her. She will fetch and retrieve relentlessly, and it really helps her to focus and blow off some steam. It gives a much better distance than my throw alone and I find it unbearably cute when she trots back to me with her tennis ball and waggy tail!
Since finding all these Mountain Warehouse essentials, I have been using them on repeat, and I cannot recommend them enough. The Walking Boots in particular are a showstopper piece where you don’t have to sacrifice comfort for style. I’m excited for the summer months to kick in so I can have so many more adventures with my fur babies and show off my super cool gear in the process!
