I’ve never known a shampoo so gentle yet effective, especially for our less abled doggie, Mr Puggy Smalls. For those of you who don’t know, Puggy is paralysed in his back legs. Although he isn’t in any pain, this also means he is double incontinent, so little accidents can happen! It goes without saying, Puggy has a bath most weeks as I always want him to feel clean and fresh, but most doggy shampoos we have tried can be a little rough on his skin as he is bathed so frequently.
I was a little apprehensive initially, as I assumed fragrance free wouldn’t be enough to battle Puggy’s fur post-accident stench, but I was pleasantly surprised at the odour neutralising effect this vet recommended shampoo has, whilst keeping his skin soft, supple and free of any irritation.
This dermatology-led shampoo for sensitive and reactive skin is jam packed with goodness to cleanse the skin and coat while restoring its moisture retention system with Oat extract and Panthenol to calm ans strengthen, which leaves all my dogs feeling brand new. No itching, no dry skin, no flare ups, just a damn good PH Balanced, vet recommended dog shampoo that is free of any sulphates, parabens or fragrance.
We follow up with the Intensive hydration conditioner; to give puggy an extra boost and I have honestly never known his coat to look or feel this soft and silky.
While I’m on the topic of keeping a less abled dogs clean and fresh, I must mention the other coat care Barkin and Meowson offer, specifically the no rinse foam shampoo and cleansing spray. We swear by these two products for when a little clean or freshen up is needed, for a local hydrating cleanse and it’s so quick and easy to use. I love the foam spray so much that it comes everywhere with me, just in case any of my little darlings need a gentle tidy up while we are out and about as well as around the home.
When it comes to Fluffy doggos like our beautiful Pomeranian, Pommie, Barkin and Meowson have you covered also. She sheds like crazy this time of year, so the de-shedding shampoo paired with the moisturising conditioner is a winning combo for double coated divas! Gently lifting loose undercoat during bath time, whilst nourishing and cleansing to leave her floof looking more impressive than ever before! I’m also a big fan of the detangling spray and the volume boost spray. Both containing hyaluronic acid and perfect for taming long haired coats like our beautiful foxy girls. We use it after every bath and in between washes to keep her coat shiny, healthy and tangle free.
