HT Vista cancer detection device strikes again!

HT Vista strikes again! Those who have followed our journey for a while, will know how this incredible cancer detecting device has helped saved our dog, Puggy’s life. And now a year later, we found ourselves anxious and worried about another lump that appeared on our senior dachshund’s chest too.

HT vista is a revolutionary, pain free cancer screening device that can be performed by a vet nurse with immediate results, so you can relax knowing it’s just a harmless lump, or to act quickly with further testing.

Last year a small lump appeared quickly on Puggy’s chest. With no other symptoms we assumed it wasn’t anything to be too worried about but took him to the vet for peace of mind and we are so glad we did.

Luckily, our amazing local vets have a HT Vista device, and after quick examination, it was advised to us Puggy’s lump is at a high risk for cancer. I’m so thankful we chose to scan with HT Vista, rather than “wait and see” as the results showed us Puggy’s lump was likely to be a mast cell tumour, so we were able to act fast and get further tests done which inevitably confirmed Puggy’s lump was a dangerous mast cell tumour, and it was removed in a matter of weeks.

It’s been a whole year since his surgery, and I’m pleased to report my gorgeous Puggy is cancer free and thriving. I’m so thankful to HT Vista and our vets for providing this front-line caner detecting device which has given me so much more time to spend with my boy.

Following on from Puggy’s success story, when we recently discovered a lump on our senior dachshund, Pops, along with an existing lump increasing in size, the HT Vista approach was a no brainer.

Pops is a 14-year-old rescue dog who is prone to anxiety, so I’m naturally reluctant to put her through anything stressful. So, before I need to even discuss painful biopsies, surgeries and treatment, our first course of action was to scan her bumps with HT Vista for a clearer insight. The painless, stress-free HT Vista process is ideal for delicate, fragile Pops who can find even small walks too overwhelming these days, and after a few short minutes we had our results and were ready to enjoy the rest of our day.

The HT Vista uses heat diffusion imaging technology (HDI) to determine if a mass is most likely benign or requires further investigation. The device heats the lump by 6 degrees and is left to cool. The device then monitors the thermal activity and special features of the tissue. It’s entirely pain free, stress free and non-invasive. the 40 second scan was performed in a standard veterinary treatment room by a lovely vet nurse with owners present, so the whole process was quick and simple without causing any anxiety.

The results came back quicker than Pops finished her treat and I’m so relieved that All Pops’ lumps are no cause for concern. The results are displayed and saved on the device with a clear scale showing whether a lump is likely to be a fatty lipoma like Pops’ or a mast cell tumour like Puggy’s last year.

Lumps and bumps are common in dogs, especially as they get older, so its vital you investigate as early as possible. They are often nothing major to worry about, but catching cancer early gives us owners the freedom and insight to arrange treatment to remove and/or stop cancer spreading. Thanks to HT Vista, we were able to save Puggy’s life a year ago and get peace of mind with Pops lumps today.

Now it’s time to celebrate with my cancer free pooches and enjoy Pops’ golden years without any anxiety or worry.

I cannot recommend HT Vista enough as a first line course of action if you discover and lumps and bumps on your pooch.
