Travelling with dogs has never been so easy

It’s no secret that we are die-hard fans of Luther bennett dog products. We have multiple pods including the standard size and the XL, as well as the Luther lounger for travelling and keeping cosy around the house.

We have had our standard sized pods for two years, and despite daily use and countless spins in the washing machine, they are all still as good as new without any signs of wear or deterioration.

So, when Luther Bennet got in touch with us and asked if we wanted to try another “skin” and their new sunshade, we obviously jumped at the chance. Having a spare skin is the perfect way to update your pod, or even have a spare to alternate if you like a bit of change. We have the ‘olive’ colour which is so beautiful, especially as we head into autumn, and nothing like any others we already own!

As always, our new goodies arrived quickly via a trusted courier and packaged perfectly.

Changing the skin is super easy (see our video below), simply unzip your existing skin and pop the pillows into your shiny new one! It’s so easy I did it with puggy still sitting in his pod, as he was so concerned something was happening to his beloved Luther Bennet pod, he had to supervise!

Of course, it comes with all the bells and whistles including new attachments and safety straps, perfect if like me you tend to misplace things, so we now always have a spare set in the boot, just in case!

As we have mentioned before, this stylish, innovative travel dog bed has calming qualities which soothe any anxieties for doggies in the car. They feel as safe and secure as they look with the detachable safety clips and the ultra-durable nano-nylon fabric which protects your car from pet hair, liquids, and scratches, whilst being machine washable! In my opinion there is no better travel bed on the market for doggos, which is why we haven’t used anything else since we discovered Luther Bennet two years ago.

Having the spare skin is great peace of mind for us as we always have a dry one stored in case there are any accidents or muddy paws. Although they dry very quickly after being in the washing machine, it’s nice to have the luxury of changing the skin immediately, so we are ready for any autumnal adventures in the car!

We were also sent a Luther Bennet sunscreen, which is the nifty little attachments I never knew I needed! The sunscreen folds down to next to nothing and can be stored in the boot or on the parcel shelf without taking up any space whatsoever! Of course, we opted for the ‘olive’ colour as I’m obsessed with it, but there are multiple options so you can match your shade to your pod, or if you wanted to mix and match to keep things colourful!

The sunshade is so easy to attach, and it takes seconds! Simply clip it to the back of the Travel pod, then around the headrest in front. Its fully adjustable too so it doesn’t matter what type of car you drive or if the seats are adjusted.

Pops, our senior pooch loved this so much as she doesn’t enjoy being in the blazing sun. It’s perfect for longer journeys to keep them cool and I think she really enjoyed having her own little shady den. Pops was fast asleep in no time, and I just wish we had this product sooner as it’s a real game changer during heatwaves, during bright winter sun, or if your pooch is sometimes sensitive to light like our little pops!
