Shredders, thrashers, rippers and squeaker lovers – this one’s for you!
We have been raving about BARK dog toys for as long as I can remember, and my pack have a toy box stuffed full of all their different themed toys designed for dogs of all sizes and play styles. But I wanted to focus on their Rip and Reveal toys, which have been specifically designed for destroyers like my Sugar.
Now Sugar may look like a tiny little angel baby, but don’t be fooled. She is 5KG of pure sass with a desire to kill and maim any toy she comes across. This is clearly an instinct from her hound ancestors and it’s how she gets the most joy, so I love that BARK have toys available for little destroyers like our Sugar.
There’s many Bark toys out there suitable for her, including the Super Chewer line, but the Rip and Reveals hit different to anything we have ever come across.
Buzzy Body is Sugars latest Rip and Reveal toy/victim,that met its grizzly end, but all isn’t what it seems. On first impressions, this cute little bumble bee toy looks as though it won’t last 5 minutes with Sugar the menace. But this clever little toy has been designed specifically to be shredded with safety in mind.
BARK are known for their impeccable standards, but did you know they voluntarily comply with relevant children’ssafety standards to ensure safety benchmarks. If that’s not enough, they have taken the lead in establishing a global standard for dog toys, chairing a committee with ASTM international to build a widely recognised industry standard for dog toy safety.
Their commitment to providing innovating dog toys with durability and safety at the helm is impressive and as a consumer it’s very easy to see that these dog toys hit different.
With heavy weight fabric designed to withstand tough play sessions, to reinforced seams with greater sewing density to ensure your dog gets the most out of their toys whilst being as safe as possible. All bark plush toys include a durable dual layer fabric liner for enhanced durability with clear instructions to the owners to discard the fabric if/when their pooch tear the toy.
Sugars rip and reveal toys are a prime example of this. When she eventually rips the outer layer of her toy, it’sclearly marked to remind me to discard of the outer fabric, leaving Sugar with her durable rubber ball to safely play with.

So, if you’ve got a tiny destroyer like Sugar, or a big strong tough guy who likes to shred, I cannot recommend the rip and reveal toys enough.
It took Sugar many days dedicated to nibbling, thrashing and shredding her Buzzy body bumblebee toy, until she finally uncovered the ultra-hard wearing rubber ball (with squeaker!) inside for endless chewing and fetch!
BARK dog toys will never leave your dog underwhelmed and as a dog mum, knowing their toys have been tested so rigorously to exceed safety standards means more to me than anything.
11/10 would recommend again and again!
